E57B at Harlowton MT

E57B is the backdrop for our group photo during our 1989 Annual Meet in Harlowton MT. E57B was the Harlowton switcher for many years. In the latter years it was coupled with a "bob-tailed" unit for additional power as the trains were getting larger. It was first dsiplayed in a park near the former RR yard but was soon being vandalized and otherwise deterioating. The townspeople decided to move it uptown. It is now at the intersection of the east-west highway through town and the main street.into downtown. It has been repainted at least twice since ending service. John Chase photo.
